It's alive!
Well here it is Big Dumb Object is finally live. Welcome and I hope you enjoy it. So what is this site? It's a Science Fiction blog. What's a blog? Oh no, I'm not going there. Better people than me have tried and failed to nail down what a weblog is. What I can tell you though is what to expect from this site.
- The site will be frequently updated (every day at least).
- The site's content will be about Science Fiction in all media, whether it's news, stories, gossip, whatever. What's Science Fiction? Oh oh, another biggie. The wikipedia gives a pretty exhaustive description, but if you want to know what I think Science Fiction is you better stay tuned. By the way, I'll use Science Fiction, Scifi, Sci-Fi and SF interchangeably, depending on how tired my fingers are.
- The site will contain a healthy dose of my opinion. It's a weblog, not a dry news site, I'll say what I'm thinking.
- I'm happy to listen to any comments about site. Just drop me a mail or post a comment on the blog.
- I'll break all of those rules if I feel like it. I reserve all rights to go tangential and cross the blurred borders of the genre. I mean if it's a slow news day and say Angel suddenly gets a new series, who am I to promise I won't mention it?!
So that's the introductions done, let's get on with the show...
