Star Wars Infinities

-

I went into my local library this weekend and two new graphic novels were on the shelf, facing out, screaming READ ME! They were Star Wars Infinities : Return of the Jedi and The Amazing Spiderman : The Life and Death of Spiders.

When I say library I'm sure images of large, silent Victorian buildings spring to mind but nothing could be farther form the truth. The library is a small village library, always full of young kids on a weekend and I find it amazing that they have any graphic novels yet alone an influx of new ones. It's quite amazing.

Anyway I've read ROTJ Infinities and it is really good. The whole Infinities series is based on the idea that something small changes and the whole Star Wars story spins off in a new direction. The small thing in this story is that Jabba knocks C3P)'s head off and hence can't negotiate with Boush....let the parallel universe commence.

The interesting thing about the Spiderman story is that it's written by J. Michael Straczynski of Babylon 5 fame. I haven't finished it yet. So far it's okay, not quite up to the standard of the Ultimate Spiderman reboot stories but still good.
