Battlestar Galactica - Season 1 - Episode 6 - "Litmus"
Full details of the episode (that's SPOILERS!) can be found on the Sky One Battlestar Galactica episode guide
Doral, a cylon agent detonates a bomb aboard the Battlestar Galactica and a tribunal is set up.
So the big secret is out that the Cylons can take human form. The reaction was slightly restrained but I'm sure that will be a major theme in coming shows. The camera following Doral onto the Galactica was nice, I knew it was him but there was still the slightest doubt until he turned around.
Once again the episode reflects on the big issues of the day, a terrorist threat in their midst, independant tribunal's turning into witch hunts (oh McCarthy what plots you have given us), civillians blaming the military.
The chief had lots of action this episode and I continue to like him as a character, especially now that he has told Boomer where to go, she's just a bit annoying, if she was your mates girlfriend you'd tell him to dump her. Commander Adama had another cracking show, lots of moody restrained authority. The Baltar and Number Six act had a small part again, with Six returning back to her silky little number after venturing into beachware last time. She also got to say "Don't make me angry, you wouldn't like me when I'm angry". Made me laugh. It appears that Baltar fancies Starbuck but that's not going to happen with a cylon in his head is it?! Not sure where Baltar is going or whether he is truly just bonkers but he's great all the same. Helo did some more wandering around on Caprica, again, although the Caprica scenes were enlivoned by Six giving "Sharron" a good kicking. Don't mess with her. Why hasn't Helo seen the Cylons watching him? They're behind you! Sergeant Hadrian earned my least likeable character of the spisode award, but Adama showed her who was boss (shades of a Few Good Men) and I cheered.
All in all a good show which, like most of these episodes, seems to be sowing the seeds of more plots than are resolved.
