The season finale. I can't really sum this episode up in one sentence. It was just too awesome. Multiple plots. Breakneck speed. Great directing and editing. Some wonderfully iconic scenes. Just brilliant.

What am I going to do now? Perhaps I'll watch the entire series again?!

Whoah.
Multi plot brilliance in full effect.

Some great bits...

  • Some wonderful but brief shots of the devestated Caprica, all overexposed and apocalyptic.
  • Number Six as not only the seduction model but also the "dead hard"[1] model. Lots of nasty hitting and kicking in the fight with Starbuck. We haven't seen that side of the cylons much but they aren't very nice
  • Helo finally getting to do something other than run around with "Sharron"
  • "Sharron" being pregnant, I'd guessed that.
  • Lo and behold the inside of a Basestar is all organic. And what do you expect inside an organic alien spaceship? 20 copies of yourself, all naked of course (but artfully cloaked in shadows so don't get excited).
  • Baltar collapsing on the ground after escaping the crash in a Christ-like crucifixtion pose. And then Number Six tells him that he his the protector of the next generation of God's children. He will bring them all closer to God. Whoah, heavy.
  • Adama getting tough with President Laura and arresting her in typical subdued and moody style.
  • The guns stand-off on Colonial One. For a moment I thought it was going to go all True Romance!
  • And the ending. You have to see it.

Battlestar Galactica? Pure class.

[1] == very capable in a fight
