Apollo is assigned to investigate the rise of the Black Market within the fleet.
SPOILERS AHEAD
I've read a lot of reviews that didn't like this episode but I did, in fact I enjoyed it more than Epiphanies. Suddenly the whole Apollo want to die thing is given a bit of substance. I like the journey his character takes on this episode, I like how he's feeling lost and can't help thinking about the past. I thought it was engaging.
Fisk being killed was okay with me too, didn't like him anyway and I like the idea that they are willing to kill of quite major characters if the story needs it.
The face off with the baddie (== end of level boss) was good too. Not quite the shoot without a thought actions of Mal in Firefly but still nice, I hate the cop out of "he couldn't do it because of morals" etc. and now Apollo has something else to anguish over. I did wonder what the henchmen were going to do, and their stunned reaction was a bit amusing but felt unrealistic. But then I guess Apollo couldn't have gone down in a hail of bullets.
Right at the end the episode spoilt things again with some preachy message that seemed to be spelt out heavy handedly, not sure why or who for, and it's becoming a bit of a trait, hope it stops soon.
But overall I liked it.
