Doctor Who - New Earth

Well, this episode had everything. It started off with a nice getting to you know you piece between Rose and The Doctor, quickly morphed into a mystery, then transformed into a scary zombie sequence and finished up with some Doctor Action Hero sequences. Blimey.

How do they get away with zombies at 7.30pm? It's the second time they've done it, this time was full on zombie hordes with bad skin attack! Quite scary, but then negated by the fact that you feel sorry for them and it all turns out good in the end. Of course.

Cassandra in Rose was nice and amusing, Rose snogging the Doctor and then doing a posh accent. And of course the "oh my god I'm a chav!" line. I thought Billie Piper was great. And then Cassandra in the Doctor was funny too, David Tennant totally over the top. I thought Tennant was good, but his serious scary Doctor was not quite as good as Christopher Ecclestone.

And at the end some foreshadowing? As the Face Of Boe gets all cryptic and disappears.

I bet like last year they'll have some more "serious" episodes later on in the run, but all in all it was a great first episode of the season and I really enjoyed it. ENTERTAINMENT. Can't wait until next week.
