Another pointless SF movie remake

I'm glad that someone else stays on top of all the stupid Hollywood gossip, because I just wouldn't ever believe it. But, yes, The Day the Earth Stood Still is being remade.

One of the greatest SF films ever. Remade. Fifty odd years later. Why oh why oh why oh why. Capitalism has a lot to answer for.
