Lost, Season 4, Episode 13 + 14

The Lost season 4 finale, parts 2 and 3 of No Place Like Home. Surprisingly it was mostly unsurprising.

Spoilers ahead...

The finale seemed to wrap everything up, and not really open any new questions.

Here's what I was expecting:
  • Locke to be in the coffin. My original thought, although I was distracted by the misdirections, especially the Jeremy Bentham nonsense.
  • The freighter to blow up and Jin to be killed.
  • The Oceanic Six to get off The Island (of course).
  • The Island to be moved and time travel to be involved.
  • Locke to become the leader of The Others.
Things I didn't expect:
  • Desmond to be saved and to meet Penny. I loved that! Happy endings, ahhh.
  • Ben to move The Island. I loved the clockwork style lever that he had to crank.
  • Ben to cause the freighter to blow up.
  • Sun to side with Jim From Neighbours.
  • The Oceanic 6 to be rescued then have to pretend to arrive on a dingy.
So what happened after they left? And what happens when they go back?

Despite the lack of Whoah! factor, still a great couple of episodes, and all in all an amazing season.
