Full details of the episode (that's SPOILERS!) can be found on the Sky One Battlestar Galactica episode guide
A Cylon is discovered on one of the fleets ships and Starbuck is sent from the Battlestar Galactica to interogate it.
Whoah, this episode gets deep. So the Cylons believe in one true god, whilst the colonialists believe in many Gods, the Lords of Kobol. But then again Leoben the captured Cylon also says that he is God, that everyone is God. And he says that he has an immortal soul. It sort of sounds like the Cylon religion is closer to Christianity, are they trying to say that the colonialists are pre-Judaism worshiping false deities? Leoben also said that he could see the future, see the destiny of everybody. The beauty of all this is of course that you have no idea which parts are the "truth" and which aren't, as we know that Leoben is a truly crafty Cylon model.
Starbuck had a great episode, I liked her a lot more, facing her demons, confronting the issue of torturing a "machine". The big question raised is "What is human?" is Leoben human because he can feel pain? On Caprica "Sharron" decideds to run with Helo away from Number Six who says that "you are what you do". "Sharron" is acting human, so is she human?
Baltar of course got his moment, Number Six hanging around in a skimpy red thing, whispering insecurities into his ear. He discovers that Boomer is a Cylon but doesn't tell her. It's the sign of a great story arc that something this big can be left hanging. What will Baltar do? Whatever he does Baltar is entertaining, this episode he made me laugh a lot.
The President, Laura, shows a bit of steel in the end, dealing with Leoben in an unmerciful manner. And what was with her dreams? Are they just dreams or are the Cylons messing with people's minds?
So many questions!
And the big foreshadowing...Leoben said that the Galactica and the fleet will find Kobol and it willl lead them to Earth.
Another top episode.
