Galactica and the fleet need fuel for their FTL jumps. They find an asteroid rich in fuel but the cylons already have a base there. Spoilers ahead...
So back after the Christmas break and back to serious business after the comedy tones of the last episode. The episode hinges around a good old fashioned mission, which means we get to see lots of cool Vipers in space action. I liked the physics of the ships, very cool.
The biggest news this episode was the God link thread. There is was a prophecy by Pythia, who predicted that a president who would lead her people to victory following a series of visions of snakes. And Number Six was going on at Baltar again about the one true god, who doesn't take sides, and the colonists have multiple Gods. And she also said "This has all happened before". Is this going to end in the cliche Adam and Eve scenario?
Meanwhile "Sharon" and "Helo" do very little apart from run away again, although Helo is getting suspicious about the lack of humans and got freaked out by seeing another Number Six copy. This plot is just too slow. Something happen please! Oh yeah and "Sharon" was sick which has to mean that she's pregnant.
Other news, Apollo and his dad are nice to each other, Starbuck gets an enforced promotion and struggles with the responsibility. And Baltar steals the show right at the end with his crucifixion pose. Brilliant. "I am an instrument of God".
All in all an okay episode, not a blinder but filled with enough action to keep me satisfied.
